Starting Blocks is celebrating its third birthday this month.

Starting Blocks was launched with an understanding that new parents are faced with many decisions and sometimes an overwhelming amount of information and opinion about a child’s early years.

The resource aims to alleviate some of this pressure by providing new parents and families with reliable information on early childhood development and early education and care, all in the one place.

The Starting Blocks website was launched in April 2015 by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). And it is with some pride that we can say that, since that time, we have been able to help many new families on their parenting journey, as well as promoting awareness about the importance of children’s education and care under the National Quality Framework (NQF).

Today, Starting Blocks includes a dynamic and engaging website, multiple social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube), a presence at key early childhood expos around the country, and many other initiatives.
