Your child is now beginning to test the boundaries, their memory is developing fast and imagination is soaring.

Developmental milestones you may observe:

EMOTIONAL 

  • May demand adult attention
  • Begins to show guilt or remorse for misdeeds 
  • Shows strong attachment to parent or carer

COGNITIVE 

  • Recognises familiar objects and pictures
  • Begins to count with numbers 
  • Recognises similarities and differences

LANGUAGE

  • Asks lots of questions
  • Copies words and actions 
  • Makes music, sings and dances

PHYSICAL

  • Walks, jumps and climbs easily 
  • Avoids obstacles and stops readily
  • Self-feeds using utensils and a cup

SOCIAL

  • Plays with other children
  • Unlikely to share toy without protest
  • Takes part in make-believe play
